UN says Israeli restrictions cut June aid deliveries to Gaza

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that Israeli restrictions and closures kept all Gaza cargo crossings closed except the Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem crossing. As a result, June aid volume fell by more than 4,600 pallets compared with May, with only 42 % of supplies from Egypt and 65 % of those from Ashdod off‑loaded.

OCHA continued to collect food and fuel at the sole open crossing, but overall aid delivery remains limited. The agency also highlighted safety concerns in the West Bank: Israeli forces shot and killed a 16‑year‑old in Qalandiya Camp near Jerusalem, wounded two other children, and a 4‑month‑old baby died after a gate blocking an ambulance was not opened.
