Mostar hosts 460th traditional bridge jumps, Krnić wins head jump, Kazić 11th foot title
The 460th edition of the traditional jump competition was held on the Old Bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thirty‑six athletes competed, with eighteen in the head‑jump (last) discipline and eighteen in the foot‑jump (cliff diving) discipline, judged by a panel that included Alica Jakirović, Haris Škoro, Haris Mehić, Haris Šiširak and Haris Džemat.
Evald Krnić defended his title in the head‑jump, securing his fourth victory with 97.5 points. Igor Kazić claimed the foot‑jump title for the 11th time, achieving a perfect score of 100 points. The opening ceremony featured a minute of silence for deceased jumpers and for the victims of a Russian plane crash involving Zenica hikers. The event was patronised by Denis Bećirović, president of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and officially opened by Emil Balavac, minister of trade, tourism and environment of the Herzegovina‑Neretva Canton. Organisers also announced that a Red Bull Cliff Diving show will be presented beneath the bridge the following weekend.
