UNAH and BANADESA partner on student loans and digital updates

The National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) and the National Agricultural Development Bank (BANADESA) have signed a cooperation agreement to expand financing opportunities for the university community. Under the agreement signed by BANADESA Executive President Vidal Cerrato and UNAH Rector Odir Fernández, postgraduate students can access educational loans ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 lempiras with repayment terms of up to 60 months.

In addition to student financing, the agreement includes credit options for faculty and administrative staff to support academic development and personal ventures.

Separately, UNAH has launched a new digital platform to modernize its graduation processes. The initiative aims to reduce administrative hurdles and the need for in-person procedures by integrating professional practice registration, national anthem exam scheduling, and graduation applications into a single electronic portal.
