UNAM receives multiple Antonio García Cubas Prizes

The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) has received four awards and three honorable mentions at the 28th edition of the Antonio García Cubas Prize. This prestigious award, established by the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) in 1998, recognizes excellence in specialized publishing within the fields of anthropology, history, and cultural heritage.

Among the recognized works is the youth book ‘Niebla. Un relato sobre autogobierno y comunidad para las niñeces en San Felipe de los Herreros’, edited by ENES Morelia. The book explores the history of the Purépecha community in Michoacán and its system of self-governance. Additionally, the Institute of Bibliographic Research was recognized in the facsimile edition category for the work ‘Historia de las Indias de Nueva España e islas de Tierra Firme’, produced in collaboration with the National Library of Spain.
