UNAM to host vaccination mega-center at Olympic Stadium

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is partnering with the health sector to host a vaccination mega-center at the Olympic Stadium Universitario. From November 9 to November 13, the center will offer 100,000 free doses to the university community and the general public.

The campaign aims to prevent COVID-19, influenza, measles, and pneumococcus. Specifically, the pneumococcus vaccine is intended for individuals aged 60 and older. The vaccines are being provided through donations from the Federal and Mexico City Secretariats of Health, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), and the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE).

Operations will run daily from 9:00 to 14:00 at parking lot three of the stadium. To manage crowds, officials recommend pre-registering via the DGAS website or a provided QR code. Registered individuals will be organized into two time blocks, at 9:00 and 11:00, though a separate line will be available for those without appointments. Participants are advised to bring their National Health Card.
