UNAP and Empresa Portuaria Iquique sign law internship agreement

The Universidad Arturo Prat (UNAP) and Empresa Portuaria Iquique (EPI) have signed an agreement to provide fifth-year law students with educational and formative internships.

The program focuses on practical experience in areas such as regulatory analysis, corporate ethics, risk management, crime prevention, compliance, and the development of policies and procedures.

Rubén Castro, General Manager of EPI, stated that the agreement aims to integrate port operations with regional human capital development, bridging theoretical university training with the daily practical challenges of the Iquique Port. UNAP Rector Dr. Alberto Martínez noted that the partnership allows students to engage with the legal challenges of a strategic public company within the Tarapacá region.
