Unbelievable makes Australian debut at Flemington race meeting

US‑bred thoroughbred Unbelievable, a full brother of Epsom Derby winner City Of Troy, is set to make his Australian debut at Flemington on Saturday. The gelding began his career in Ireland under Aidan O’Brien, later raced in Hong Kong for Frankie Lor before being retired and shipped to Australia. Initially attached to the Freedman stable, Unbelievable was transferred to trainer Clayton Douglas while the Freedmans serve a 28‑day disqualification. He will contest the Melbourne Cup Carnival On Sale (1620 m) race, with Hong Kong‑returning jockey Ethan Brown aboard.

Douglas believes the horse’s trial performances show promise as a staying prospect, noting his strong finish at Caulfield Heath and suitability for a mile run before stepping up to longer distances.
