UNC Basketball sees roster shifts with Keita arrival and Trimble transfer

The University of North Carolina basketball program is undergoing significant roster changes. Freshman center Sayon Keita, a 7-foot player from Mali who previously played professionally in Spain, has arrived in Chapel Hill after clearing the visa process.

Keita’s arrival completes a frontcourt reconstruction for Coach Michael Malone. His arrival coincided with the start of fall classes at the university.

In a separate development, Seth Trimble has announced his transfer to Louisville. Trimble, who spent four seasons at UNC, decided to move to the ACC rival after a summer court ruling regarding player eligibility allowed for a fifth season. While Trimble expressed gratitude for his time in Chapel Hill, the move marks a notable departure for the program.
