UNC women’s soccer rises to No. 1 in national poll

The University of North Carolina women’s soccer team has risen to the No. 1 position in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll. This marks the 38th time in program history that the Tar Heels have held the top spot.

The jump follows a six-game winning streak, which included victories over Duke and Alcorn State. UNC supplanted Michigan State, which moved to No. 2 in the rankings. The Tar Heels currently hold a 9-1 record and lead the ACC in scoring margin.
