Undercoders studio reports positive experience with Microsoft Game Pass

Undercoders, the studio behind the game Denshattack!, has reported a positive experience working with Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription service. In an interview with Automaton, game director David Jaumandreu stated that the service provides a significant opportunity for small teams to increase game visibility and reach a wider audience.

Jaumandreu noted that while the subscription does not eliminate all financial pressure—as developers must still deliver high-quality products and meet sales targets to recoup development costs—it does offer a degree of financial stability. The arrangement provides a guaranteed sum of money before the game enters the market, which helps mitigate risk and reduce financial stress for smaller studios.
