UNDERCOVER PRODUCTION to release debut film ‘UNDERGIRL’

The creative team UNDERCOVER PRODUCTION, led by fashion designer Jun Takahashi, is releasing its first film, ‘UNDERGIRL’. The film is scheduled to screen at SPACE PART 3 by PARCO in Shibuya from September 14 to September 20, 2026.

‘UNDERGIRL’ serves as a narrative continuation of the story introduced in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, ‘UNDERMAN’. The plot follows Yuri Ibuki, played by Sena Nakajima, as she becomes the successor to her father, the hero UNDERMAN, after his sudden disappearance. The film also stars Ryuhei Matsuda, Kiko Mizuhara, and Mitsuko Baisho.

The production involved a collaborative effort between the team’s core members, including Art Director Tetsuya Nagato, Creative Director Katsuhiro Morimoto, and Executive Director Taro Mizutani. The project was developed over more than a year, drawing inspiration from various cinematic and cultural influences ranging from 1980s pop culture to Japanese underground movements.
