Undip students launch creative economy initiatives in Gebugan Village
Students from the Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) Thematic Community Service (KKN-T) 84 program have launched several community empowerment initiatives in Gebugan Village, Semarang Regency.
To support local MSMEs, the team provided digital design training to village youth using applications such as Canva and CapCut. This initiative led to the creation of ‘With My Desain’, a new creative service business aimed at providing digital promotional media for local businesses. To ensure sustainability, the students also provided a business handbook for the new venture.
Additionally, the program introduced creative ways to utilize local coffee resources. Students taught local women's groups how to transform coffee powder into natural scented keychains. The training included lessons on basic business calculations and the importance of adding value to local commodities through non-food products.
