UNEC Rector addresses criticisms of Azerbaijani higher education

The Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has addressed the prevailing negative discourse surrounding higher education in Azerbaijan. While acknowledging that the current state of higher education is not ideal and that problems persist, the Rector argued against the general trend of overly critical views that lack empirical backing.

The Rector noted a perceived absence of visible research to support sharp negative opinions and invited experts to submit studies to UNEC for discussion. Furthermore, the Rector suggested that much of the criticism is based on artificial perceptions and distorted information rather than factual reality, often stemming from experts commenting outside their professional competencies.
