UNED student Anabella Escalante Bucardo to receive Rubén Darío Award

Anabella Escalante Bucardo, a 27-year-old student from the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED) in Costa Rica, has been selected to receive the 2026 Rubén Darío Regional Award for Academic Excellence. The award recognizes outstanding academic trajectories among university students in Central America.

Escalante Bucardo, a resident of San Isidro del Amparo in Los Chiles, is the first university graduate in her family of nine siblings. Since beginning her studies in 2020, she has been a scholarship recipient and has maintained an honor scholarship since 2021. She has completed diplomas in Office Secretarial Management and Business Administration, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources.

The award ceremony for the 21st edition of the prize will take place on Friday, October 16, at the Universidad de El Salvador (UES) in San Salvador.
