Unemat Opens 500 Student Aid Slots and Publishes 2027 Entrance Exam Calendar

The State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat) announced the opening of 500 scholarship slots for the 2026/2 academic term. Half of the slots provide a food allowance of R$300 per month, while the other half offer a housing allowance of R$400 per month. Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate programs, have a family income up to 1.5 minimum wages per person, and meet additional criteria that exclude those with formal employment, active businesses, certain internship scholarships, or existing free housing benefits. Applications open on 14 August and close on 14 August, with the selection process running through September.

Unemat also released the timeline for its 2027 entrance exam (Vestibular). The official notice will be published on 24 July 2026. Registration runs from 3 August to 13 October 2026, with fee‑waiver requests accepted between 17 and 24 August 2026. The written exam, comprising 45 multiple‑choice questions and a essay, is scheduled for 22 November 2026.
