Unemployment rates rise in Neuruppin and Rosenheim

Unemployment rates have seen increases in the German districts of Neuruppin and Rosenheim. In the Neuruppin agency district, the unemployment rate rose to 6.7 percent in August, with 20,013 people registered as unemployed. This represents an increase of 378 people compared to July and 387 more than in August of the previous year. A notable rise was observed among individuals under 25, whose numbers grew by 214 to a total of 2,499. Additionally, the demand for personnel from businesses has declined, with 6,029 new jobs reported since the beginning of the year, which is 682 fewer than the same period last year.

In the Rosenheim district, the unemployment rate stood at 3.3 percent, an increase of 9.2 percent from July. A total of 4,951 people are unemployed in the district. While the rate has risen, local officials noted that the situation remains good compared to the national average and that social security-liable employment remains stable. There are currently 339 unfilled apprenticeship positions in the Rosenheim district, particularly in retail and fine mechanics.
