Unespar suspends evening classes in Apucarana due to heavy rain
The State University of Paraná (Unespar) has suspended all in-person evening classes at its Apucarana campus. The decision follows the activation of the institution's contingency protocol for severe weather events.
The suspension is due to technical infrastructure issues caused by recent heavy rainfall. Specifically, the weather has prevented necessary electrical repairs to the lighting in the student parking area. The campus administration stated that maintaining activities without minimum safety conditions in access areas would be inappropriate for the well-being of students and faculty.
There is currently no scheduled date for the resumption of classes or a plan for making up the missed sessions. Students have been advised to monitor official university channels for updates.
