Ungu band to hold 30th anniversary concert in Jakarta

Indonesian band Ungu is preparing for a special concert titled ‘Waktu Yang Dinanti Final Chapter’ to celebrate their 30-year career. The event is scheduled for October 30, 2026, at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta.

During a press conference, guitarist Enda explained that the band has historically performed more frequently in countries like Singapore and Malaysia because they preferred to wait for invitations rather than initiating solo concerts in Jakarta. This upcoming show marks a significant milestone as their first solo concert in Indonesia in a long time.

The band members noted the difficulty in preparing the setlist, which required over 12 meetings to select 30 songs from their 15 albums. To ensure a unique concept, they involved their management, crew, and creative teams.

The concert will feature guest appearances by Rossa, Lesti Kejora, Andien, Kiesha Alvaro, and Zara Leola. The inclusion of younger artists like Kiesha Alvaro and Zara Leola is intended to represent musical regeneration within the industry.
