Unhas and PERADI Profesional to launch advocate education program

The Faculty of Law at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) and PERADI Profesional are collaborating to establish an Advocate Professional Education (PPA) program. The initiative aims to produce high-quality, ethical, and character-driven lawyers.

During a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held on September 18, 2026, PERADI Profesional Chairman Harris Arthur Hedar emphasized the need for the program to improve legal competency. He noted that current training systems, such as the PKPA, are often criticized for being too brief—sometimes lasting only one or two weeks—to adequately prepare professionals for practice.

PERADI Profesional intends to launch the program by March 2027. Secretary General Yuhelson stated that the opening of the PPA was a request from the Unhas Faculty of Law, which the organization is now working to implement based on existing legal frameworks regarding higher education.
