Unia Leszno speedway team faces setbacks as Pawlicki cites injuries, Konieczny shines

Unia Leszno was defeated by Betard Sparta Wrocław in a PGE Ekstraliga meeting, leaving the team short of a playoff spot. Captain Patryk Pawlicki said a series of recent crashes has left him "not at full strength" and he is working on motorcycle setup and confidence.

Despite the loss, 18‑year‑old Emil Konieczny delivered a standout performance, executing an impressive pass reminiscent of Emil Sajfutdinov and earning his first triple‑point finish. He said the reduced stress helped him and he hopes for more race opportunities from coach Rafał Okoniewski. The team looks ahead to an upcoming clash with GKM Grudziądz, which could be critical for their playoff ambitions.
