Uniarp marks 55 years of regional education impact

On July 31, 2026 the Universidade Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe (Uniarp) in Caçador, Brazil, held a ceremony to commemorate its 55th anniversary. The event gathered university leaders, faculty, students, alumni and local officials. Rector Dr. Rosana Claudio Silva Ogoshi highlighted the institution’s role in expanding higher‑education opportunities in the Mid‑west of Santa Catarina, while President Neoberto Balestrin thanked the pioneers, staff and community for their contributions.

The celebration is part of a year‑long program that includes a photographic exhibition of the university’s history, a tree‑planting initiative in Caçador and Fraiburgo, and other activities aimed at preserving institutional memory and fostering regional development.
