Unibet Rose Rockets signs Axel Mariault for 2027

Unibet Rose Rockets has announced its first signing for the 2027 season, securing French rider Axel Mariault. Mariault joins the team from the continental level, specifically from CIC Pro Cycling Academy.

Mariault, 28, brings previous WorldTour experience from his tenure with Cofidis in 2023 and 2024. After moving to the continental level, he has seen a significant resurgence in form during the 2026 season. His recent achievements include a second-place finish in the general classification of the Tour de l'Ain, where he also secured his first professional victory by winning a queen stage, and a seventh-place finish in La Route d'Occitanie.

Team leader Bas Tietema noted that while the transfer period has been quiet, the team has been actively analyzing data and rider results to ensure strategic additions. Tietema explained that the team often waits for major WorldTour teams to finalize their rosters before identifying available riders that fit the Rockets' growing needs.
