Unicaja targets Oscar Tshiebwe as primary transfer goal
Unicaja is targeting Congolese center Oscar Tshiebwe to complete its roster for the upcoming season. The Malaga-based club is intentionally delaying its final signing to monitor the NBA market, specifically waiting for roster cuts that typically occur in early October.
While the team currently has 14 players, including Willy Hernangómez, David Kravish, and Yannick Nzosa at the ‘5’ position, the management aims to secure a high-quality interior player. Tshiebwe remains the priority target due to his physical presence and experience in American basketball. However, any move depends on the Houston Rockets, as the club must determine if he will remain part of their definitive structure.
Unicaja’s strategy is to avoid rushing a decision, preferring to wait for potential opportunities arising from NBA players seeking roles in Europe or the EuroLeague.
