Unicaja to kick off preseason with Memorial Javier Imbroda in Melilla

Unicaja will begin its preseason with the III Memorial Javier Imbroda in Melilla. The event features two main matchups at the Javier Imbroda Pavilion: Unicaja against Melilla Baloncesto on August 30 at 20:00, and Unicaja Mijas against Melilla Ciudad del Deporte La Salle on September 13 at 18:00.

To bolster the squad during the preseason, coach Txus Vidorreta is integrating four players from the Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre Liga U team: Miguel Martínez, Alonso de la Iglesia, Nikola Tomic, and Gerard Villarejo. This move comes as several key players, including Amine Nouaque, Willy Hernangómez, Alberto Díaz, and Melvin Pantzar, are called up for international FIBA windows.

Unicaja President Antonio Jesús López Nieto noted that Melilla will serve as an important venue for upcoming events, particularly leading into the club's 50th anniversary in 2027. Free invitations for the memorial matches can be collected starting August 24 at the Melilla Sports Ministry or various Unicaja Bank branches.
