Unicaribe seeks improved public transport for students in Cancún
Unicaribe is coordinating with mobility authorities to improve public transportation services for its students in Cancún. The university aims to increase service frequency and extend operating hours, particularly for the campus located in Supermanzana 78.
According to Rector Xochilt Carmona Bareño, approximately 70 percent of the student body relies on public transit for daily commutes. A primary concern involves evening students who finish classes around 22:00, a time when bus and collective availability decreases significantly. The institution is specifically requesting extended hours for Route 11 and seeking to ensure the operational continuity of Routes 9 and 4x7 to ensure student safety.
