UniCredit Bank increases savings account interest rates to 4.3%
UniCredit Bank is increasing interest rates on its savings accounts for retail clients in the Czech Republic, effective September 1. The maximum interest rate will rise from 3.7% to 4.3% per annum for deposits up to 500,000 CZK.
To qualify for the 4.3% rate, clients must meet specific conditions: making at least ten card payments per month and either investing at least 2,000 CZK monthly or making a one-time investment of at least 50,000 CZK. Clients who do not invest but receive a monthly income of at least 20,000 CZK and make at least ten card payments per month can receive a 4% annual interest rate on deposits up to 500,000 CZK.
For deposits between 500,000 CZK and 2 million CZK, the interest rate remains at 3% per annum, provided clients meet the income or investment requirements alongside the minimum ten monthly card payments. The bank aims to motivate clients to manage their finances comprehensively by combining savings with regular investing.
