UniCredit introduces InvestEU-guaranteed loans for Polish SMEs

UniCredit has signed an agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF) to provide loans backed by InvestEU guarantees for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups in Poland.

This initiative aims to lower barriers to external capital by offering financing without the requirement of traditional collateral. Individual loans can reach amounts of approximately 35 million PLN. The program is designed to support innovative companies that may not meet standard bank credit policies, facilitating digital transformation and business growth.

The funding for these guarantees is sourced from the Recovery and Resilience Facility as part of the National Recovery Plan, supported by the Polish state through the InvestEU Member State Module. InvestEU is a flagship European Union investment program for 2021–2027, intended to mobilize investments totaling 427 billion euros.
