Unidad para las Víctimas condemns killing of social leader in Cauca

The Unidad para las Víctimas has condemned the assassination of social leader María Ovidia Palechor and her husband, James Flor, in Cajibío, Cauca.

Palechor was recognized for her leadership and commitment to indigenous communities in the Cauca department. She had previously worked with the Unidad para las Víctimas through their psychosocial approach program. The agency attended the funeral services in Popayán to offer condolences to the family and honor her legacy of community service.
