Unidentified aerial objects reported near U.S. nuclear plants and in military footage

Recent disclosures and military reports have heightened scrutiny regarding unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and their proximity to sensitive locations. Documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission reveal numerous sightings of unidentified aircraft, described by some as drones, over 28 nuclear facilities across 17 states between February 2024 and March 2026. Notably, at the Surry nuclear plant in Virginia, witnesses reported triangular-shaped objects and drones maneuvering near containment buildings. Many of these investigations remain classified as “closed without resolution.”

In a separate military encounter, the Pentagon released infrared footage showing six spherical objects traveling at approximately 770 km/h over the Middle East during a 2025 mission supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. The objects exhibited agile movement and frequent direction changes, remaining unexplained by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).

Adding to the discourse, former military member Jake Barber claimed during an international symposium in Stockholm that large, cylindrical “mother ships” operating at high altitudes release egg-shaped artifacts. These testimonies from whistleblowers and military personnel continue to drive calls for greater transparency and the declassification of information regarding anomalous aerial phenomena.
