Unidentified man dies of electrocution at LRT substation in Jakarta

An unidentified man was found dead inside an operational Light Rail Transit (LRT) Jabodetabek electrical substation in the Pancoran area of South Jakarta on Tuesday.

Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Suminto reported that the body was discovered around 17:50 WIB. Investigators believe the man entered the facility from the lower floor and ascended to the second floor, where he was struck by high-voltage electricity.

Police suspect an attempted theft of cables, noting that tools including a hand saw and plastic bags were found at the scene. The victim's body showed signs of extreme electrical exposure.
