Tehran night sky sightings of mysterious lights spark speculation

Viral videos circulating on social media show mysterious, multi-colored lights hovering and moving across the night sky over Tehran, Iran. The footage, much of which was reportedly filmed near the Azadegan Expressway, has triggered widespread speculation regarding the nature of the objects.

Observers and social media users have proposed various theories, including the possibility of drones, commercial aircraft, or even LED-equipped kites. Some have characterized the sightings as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). However, the available video lacks sufficient technical data—such as altitude, speed, or precise geolocation—to confirm any specific identity.
