Brazil cooperatives launch Dia de Cooperar community service events

The Dia de Cooperar (Dia C) movement is mobilizing cooperatives across Brazil to provide free community services, social responsibility initiatives, and leisure activities. This national movement aims to demonstrate the impact of cooperativism on community development through various regional events.

In different states, the program offers diverse services. In Campo Grande, activities include health guidance, dentistry, and recreational options. In Presidente Prudente, Sicoob Paulista is providing free financial orientation. Fortaleza is hosting health, well-being, and environmental education workshops, while Cuiabá features cultural performances and health tents. In Goiânia, the event is expected to gather 5,000 people for medical exams, social assistance, and sustainability workshops.

Other regional actions include a cooperation walk and dental screenings in Marechal Cândido Rondon, and a large-scale mobilization by Sicredi Evolução spanning 20 cities across Paraíba, Piauí, and Maranhão. These activities focus on health, financial education, and social inclusion to strengthen ties between cooperatives and the communities they serve.
