Unimed VTRP celebrates 55 years with new medical initiatives

Unimed Vales do Taquari e Rio Pardo (Unimed VTRP) has launched celebrations for its 55th anniversary, which will officially be marked on December 11. The cooperative is introducing several new initiatives, including the Unimed Forum, designed to prepare doctors and medical students for future professional challenges involving artificial intelligence.

As part of its community outreach, the cooperative is conducting the ‘Cuida Bem’ campaign, which provides HPV DNA testing drives across various municipalities, including Encantado, Estrela, Lajeado, Santa Cruz do Sul, Teutônia, and Venâncio Aires. This technology aims to improve early detection and personalized monitoring for cervical cancer.
