Unión Cívica Radical holds convention in Corrientes and proposes local reforms in Olavarría

The Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) is undertaking several regional political and legislative actions in Argentina. In Corrientes, the party has called for a Provincial Convention to be held on October 7 at the Club San Martín. The agenda includes discussing an internal reform draft, reviewing the party charter, and presenting the ‘UCR Conecta’ digital tool.

In Olavarría, the UCR council block has introduced a project to municipalize the Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV) service. The proposal, presented by councilman Francisco González, aims to create a Municipal Road Safety Fund. This fund would redirect revenue from vehicle inspections toward local road maintenance, signaling, and urban infrastructure, rather than allowing funds to leave the municipality for provincial administration.
