Unión del Pueblo Leonés demands repairs for La Vizana bridge

The Unión del Pueblo Leonés (UPL) is demanding that the Junta de Castilla y León fulfill its commitment to repair the La Vizana bridge. Despite an announcement made nine months ago regarding the historical structure located on the Órbigo River, no visible progress has been reported.

The bridge, situated between the provinces of León and Zamora, shows significant deterioration. Recent flooding in the Órbigo River has exacerbated the damage, with debris and vegetation becoming embedded in the piers and causing visible holes in the cutwaters. UPL has submitted formal inquiries to the Cortes de Castilla y León to determine the timeline for these necessary repairs.
