Unión del Pueblo Leonés raises concerns over ENISE and educational support

The Unión del Pueblo Leonés (UPL) has requested explanations regarding the selection criteria for invitations to the 20th edition of the International Meeting on Information Security (ENISE) in León. The party questions why previous practices of inviting all political groups were not maintained, expressing concern that the event could be used as an instrument for partisan interests rather than focusing on economic development and cybersecurity employment in the region.

Separately, UPL is demanding that the Junta de Castilla y León urgently allocate 30 hours of Spanish Sign Language (LSE) interpreters for a student with profound deafness at the IES Virgen de la Encina in Ponferrada. The party is calling for the absolute prioritization of sign language as an essential educational resource to ensure that students with specific needs are not penalized by administrative deficits, ensuring their right to education and academic performance is protected.
