Unión football club clears FIFA bans ahead of Gimnasia de Mendoza clash

Club Atlético Unión resolved outstanding financial disputes with foreign clubs—Juventud Las Piedras of Uruguay and Sol de América of Paraguay—allowing FIFA to lift all registration inhibitions. The club is now fully authorised to field the players acquired in the recent transfer window for its upcoming match against Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza.

Coach Leonardo Madelón can now select his squad for the Saturday fixture. Forward Cristian Tarragona has been confirmed in the starting eleven. Several signings remain pending paperwork: midfielder Mauro Luna Diale’s Russian documentation has not yet been finalised, and midfielder Joaquín Mosqueira still requires clearance from Talleres. The provisional line‑up also includes Matías Mansilla, Lautaro Vargas, Tomás Fagioli, Juan Pablo Ludueña, Lucas Ayala, Sebastián Palacios, Lucas Menossi, Misael Aguirre and Lucas Malcorra.

The resolution of the bans removes the uncertainty that had clouded the team’s preparations and restores the club’s full roster for the match.
