Unión Sindical Obrero files lawsuits against Cuenca Provincial Council

The Unión Sindical Obrero (USO) union has filed two lawsuits against the Diputación Provincial de Cuenca regarding modifications to the Job Position Relationship (RPT) approved on May 27.

One lawsuit was filed by the official holding the position of Head of the Planning Section, who also serves as a staff delegate and president of the personnel board. This legal action concerns changes to their assignment, functions, and workplace. The second lawsuit was filed by USO to defend collective bargaining and the public employees affected by the changes.

The modification, published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Cuenca, involved transferring the Head of the Planning Section position from the Contracting and Cooperation Service to the Local Entity Assistance Service. While the official reason cited was the termination of projects related to the position's functions, documentation indicates that 313 files related to the Plan of Works and Services (POS) remained in process at the time of the modification. Additionally, four Head of Negotiated positions within the Contracting and Cooperation Service were redistributed across various other departments.
