Union Bordeaux-Bègles secures player extensions and manages injury crisis

Union Bordeaux-Bègles (UBB) is working to stabilize its squad through both contract negotiations and temporary player recalls. The club has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Tongan internationals Ben Tameifuna and Adam Coleman to extend their stays for the upcoming season. Both players, who are 35 years old, are currently approaching the end of their existing contracts.

Simultaneously, the club is managing a significant injury crisis within its backline ahead of a match against La Rochelle. Following injuries to Matthieu Jalibert, Hugo Reus, Martin Page-Relo, and Arthur Retière, UBB has recalled 20-year-old fly-half Joseph Laharrague from his loan at Béziers. Laharrague, a former French Espoirs champion, will provide temporary cover for the position as the team navigates these physical setbacks.
