Union Brazil backs Pastor Isamar Ramalho as Senate pre‑candidate in Roraima
The centrist Union Brazil party confirmed pastor Isamar Ramalho as its sole pre‑candidate for the Senate seat from the northern state of Roraima. The decision was announced after a party meeting of regional leaders, which reiterated that any change would require approval from the national leadership.
The party also said it has not yet chosen which candidate it will support for the state governorship. Party state president Edilson Damião noted that discussions are ongoing with former mayor Arthur Henrique and Governor Soldado Sampaio, with the final choice to be made after the party convention scheduled for 25 July.
