Union Internationale de Banques reports 5.7% PNB rise and 11% operating profit increase in H1 2026
The Union Internationale de Banques (UIB) posted a net banking product (PNB) of 273.2 MDT at the end of June 2026, up 5.7% year‑on‑year and 6.8% on a retro‑adjusted basis after accounting for the 2024‑41 commercial code amendment. Operating profit grew 11.1% to 125.2 MDT, or 13% when the regulatory impact is neutralised.
Interest‑margin revenue increased 2.8% to 146.1 MDT, while commissions remained virtually flat at 76.9 MDT. Total operating expenses rose 1.6% to 148.2 MDT and staff costs also grew 1.6% to 109 MDT, improving the cost‑to‑income ratio to 54.3% (51.3% on a retro‑adjusted basis). Customer deposits reached 7.183 MDT, up 1.5%, and the net loan portfolio grew 2.2% to 6.480 MDT.
