Union Minister reviews development projects in Manipur

Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) Sukanta Majumdar conducted a two-day visit to Manipur to review the progress of key developmental initiatives and ongoing projects.

During the visit, Minister Majumdar met with Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh to discuss administrative matters and strengthen inter-governmental coordination. He also chaired a meeting with Chief Secretary Rajeev Singh Thakur and various administrative secretaries to assess projects implemented under the MDoNER Ministry and the North Eastern Council (NEC).

The Minister visited infrastructure sites and participated in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan programme in the Imphal East district, interacting with local villagers and scheme beneficiaries. He emphasized the need for closer cooperation between the state government and the Ministry to ensure the effective and speedy execution of projects for the benefit of the region.
