Union of Greek Physicists disputes validity of quantum medicine

The Union of Greek Physicists (EEF) has issued a statement clarifying the scientific validity of terms such as ‘quantum medicine’ and ‘quantum therapy.’ This clarification follows reports regarding a gynecologist at the medical practice where George Mazonakis died, who claimed to hold a postgraduate degree in Quantum Medicine from the University of Hawaii.

The Union stated that the degrees issued by the so-called ‘Quantum University’ in Hawaii are not recognized. The EEF emphasized that while quantum phenomena—such as thermal radiation, wave-particle duality, and entanglement—are mathematically grounded in physics, terms like ‘quantum medicine’ and ‘quantum consciousness’ are unsubstantiated. The organization noted that these terms were popularized by Deepak Chopra in 1989 and lack the basis of systematic scientific research.
