Union of Jurists of Moldova launches iLaw digital platform

The Union of Jurists of Moldova has launched iLaw, a new digital platform designed to connect citizens with verified legal professionals. The tool allows users to post legal requests for free, receiving tailored offers from specialists based on specific legal fields and geographic location.

The initiative follows market research indicating that citizens face significant difficulties finding reliable legal counsel. Many currently rely on social media to seek help, which increases vulnerability to scams and privacy breaches. Additionally, existing online searches often yield outdated or non-functional websites.

To ensure security, the platform only permits registered lawyers or legal interns. Every specialist must upload their license and credentials for administrative verification. The system uses an algorithm to direct requests across more than 20 legal categories, ranging from civil law to immigration, ensuring users interact with professionals subject to legal and disciplinary accountability.
