Union of Social Welfare Employees holds training in Požega

The Union of Employees in the Field of Social Welfare of Croatia held a training program for union representatives from the Požega-Slavonia County in Požega on September 7–8, 2026. The initiative was part of the EU-funded project ‘Strengthening the Capacity of Social Partners in the Field of Social Welfare’.

The program focused on enhancing practical competencies and knowledge in social dialogue, communication skills, the protection of workers' rights, and the preservation of employee dignity. The training aimed to provide participants with concrete tools for daily union work, as these representatives often serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding labor relations and workplace issues.

Jadranka Dimić, president of the Union, emphasized that high-quality social dialogue and partnership are essential prerequisites for creating effective social policies and a positive social climate within social welfare institutions. The training highlighted the importance of fostering relationships based on mutual respect between employees, union representatives, and employers.
