Union Saint-Gilloise achieves significant transfer value and sporting success

Union Saint-Gilloise has emerged as a dominant force in Belgian football, both on the pitch and in the transfer market. According to a study by the CIES Football Observatory, the club has generated the highest transfer value increase in Belgium over the last five years, totaling 371 million euros. While Club Brugge has earned higher total revenue from sales (445 million euros compared to Union's 270 million), Union has been more active in player turnover, selling 140 players.

On the field, midfielder Kamiel Van De Perre has become a central figure for the club. Since joining from KRC Genk in the summer of 2024, Van De Perre has risen to become a regular starter and captain, contributing to the club's recent championship and cup successes.
