Unioncamere reopens registration for Italy's historical enterprises register
The Italian Chambers of Commerce and Unioncamere have reopened applications for the National Register of Historical Enterprises. This voluntary and free registration aims to recognize and value companies that have maintained continuous activity in the same business sector for at least 100 years.
Successful applicants are granted the “Impresa storica d’Italia” (Historical Enterprise of Italy) brand. Currently, the register includes over 2,600 documented century-old companies. The initiative seeks to preserve and promote the heritage of skills, knowledge, and values passed down through generations of Italian entrepreneurship.
Application deadlines are structured in phases: companies reaching their centenary by December 31, 2025, must apply by September 30, 2026. Subsequently, companies reaching 100 years by December 31, 2026, have until July 31, 2027, to submit their candidacy.
