Unione della Romagna Faentina prevents 102 utility disconnections

In 2025, the Unione della Romagna Faentina and Gruppo Hera successfully prevented 102 disconnections of electricity, gas, and water services for families facing economic fragility. This represents an increase from the 67 disconnections prevented the previous year, involving a total of 197 customers.

Under a memorandum of understanding active until late 2029, social services work alongside utility providers to manage debt through subsidized installment plans. In 2025, 72 such payment plans were granted, totaling over 63,000 euros. The initiative also resulted in cost savings for the community, avoiding over 14,000 euros in suspension and restoration procedures.

Financial support for these efforts included over 30,000 euros from the Unione della Romagna Faentina, with the Municipality of Faenza contributing nearly 23,000 euros.
