Unions protest in Ferrol and Narón over food trade contract deadlock

Labor unions CIG, CC.OO., and UGT have organized protests in Ferrol and Narón to denounce a deadlock in negotiations for the food trade collective agreement in the province of A Coruña.

Workers are protesting against companies Gadis and Froiz, citing significant discrepancies in wage and working hour proposals. Union representatives stated that while companies are offering a 4% wage increase, workers are demanding 7%. Additionally, there is a dispute regarding time off, with companies offering three days over four years, while workers seek more frequent leave. Unions also highlighted a disparity in working conditions compared to the province of Pontevedra.
