União‑Progressistas federation unveils slates in Rondônia and Amazonas

The federation formed by União Brasil and the Progressistas party held two state conventions to launch its major candidate slates for Brazil's 2026 elections. In Rondônia, the August 3 meeting in Porto Velho confirmed Hildon Chaves as the gubernatorial candidate and Cirone Deiró as his running mate, while senatorial candidates Mariana Carvalho and Silvia Cristina were also officially nominated.

In Amazonas, the August 4 convention in Manaus slated state deputy Roberto Cidade (União Brasil) for the governorship and incumbent governor Wilson Lima for the Senate. The vice‑governor nominee will be announced at the event, and additional candidates for federal and state legislatures were confirmed. Both conventions mark the start of the federation’s campaign, with formal registration of all candidacies due by August 15 and the general election scheduled for October 4.
